ICX-P5 Intraoral Scanner

Product information

ICX-P5 Intraoral Scanner

The ICX-MAGELLAN drill set is mandatory within the ICX-magellan system, for use in template-guided implant bed preparation and insertion of ICX implants The indications are varied and on edentulous and partially edentulous upper and lower jaws.

Parts of the complete set:

  • Urgicals instruments for template-guided enossal or periodontal supported implant bed preparation and implantplacement
  • Laboratory instruments for the conversion of a planning scabbard into a drilling scabbard

To use the ICX-MAGELLAN system the following must be available the practice or labaratory must have the ICX-MAGELLAN- 3D planning saftware.
In the practice or in the dental laboratory, a planning planning is created with the help of the ICX MAGELLAN software. The ICX experts then create an ICX-MAGELLAN drilling template.

Through the individually manufactured drilling template the surgicol instruments of the ofthe ICX MAGELLAN system during implant bed preparation as well as the ICX implants during the insertion.

Note: Medentis medical GmbH assumes no liabilityfor the correct planning, execution and implementation of the surgicol template.
Before using the ICX-MAGELLAN system, the user urgently needs to familiarise himself intensively with the 30 planning system and the positioner

APPLICATION

Impression taking and model fabrication

The prerequisite for toking an impression of the oral situation and fabricating a master model is a sufficiently stable and repositionable fixation of a planning template with the existing teeth in the case of a partially edentulous jaw.

Toothless or insufficiently dentate jaws

If a sufficiently stable fixation of a planning template is not guaranteed in an edentulous or partially edentulous jaw. the template is placed in sufficient numbers by means of fixing pins. It should be noted that at least three should be anchored in the edentulaus jaw in order to be able to fix the planning template exactly in the mouth later. In order to ensure unhindered insertion of the ICX implants, care must be taken to ensure the best possible mechanical stability.

Wax-up and Set-up

In order to determine the optimum tooth position for the subsequent restoration from a prosthetic point of view, a wax-up/set-up of the teeth to be replaced is created on the master model. This is scanned, read into the ICX-magellansoftware and is used as a guideline for the digital planning. digital planning.

X-ray diagnostics and planning

A Dicom 3.0 file is created with the double scan technique (CT/DVT). Likewise, the current scon prosthesis alone is recorded and digitised In the case of residually toothed, not heavily restored jaws the double scan technique can be dispensed with.
The data thus obtained is then read into the ICХ-МАGELLAN 3D planning software. When the planning of the implant positions in the 3D software is completed, the data for setting the positioner iscalculated.

The following safety distances must be observed:

  • 3.0 mm to the adjacent implant.
  • Implant diameter and length must be determined so that there is sufficient bone (at least 1.0 mm) around the implant
  • 2.0 mm to the mandibular nerve or inferior alveolar nerve.
  • 15 mm to the adjacent natural tooth.
