When we developed the first FAIR premium implant with ICX 20+ years ago, the high-temperature etched and sandblasted surface had already been a standard for many years and remains so to this day. Today, I feel that with the ICX system, we set a milestone back then and laid the foundation for an entirely new market segment in dental implantology.
With the ICX system, we combined all the advantages of the leading implant systems of the time, both in thread design and in the slightly conical implant shape, and very early on created a conical, rotation-protected, and extremely stable internal connection. In doing so, we developed a completely new and unique implant system at the time, which was also able to benefit from the experiences of other systems. From a design engineering perspective, I have yet to see a more sophisticated implant system.
